Specialist machinery builder AMTRI COBBLE has appointed three new mechanical design engineers to strengthen its project teams as the business continues to expand. The company was launched in January this year and is backed by capital equipment manufacturer Cobble.

Paul Robinson, Allen Bullock and Andy Goldstraw will be based at the company’s Macclesfield office, which opened in June. They previously worked at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Institute (AMTRI), which ceased trading in 2007.
‘It was a highly respected design and development organisation,’ said Ian Laven the General Manager of AMTRI Cobble. ‘The staff accumulated a wealth of experience and engineering knowledge. In the new company we are preserving this legacy and promoting the values of the Institute.’

In a separate announcement, Ian Laven who is General Manager of AMTRI Cobble has now been appointed a director of the company.
